Description: Regenerate Hub is a circular economy platform to strengthen nature-based solutions. Regenerate Hub’s mission is to enable diverse audiences to data visualise the interconnected flow, impact, and value of resources across sectors [e.g. human, waste, energy, water, air, earth, industry], how systems can be improved, and who is working to create alternatives on the ground. To do so, this tool centralises and visualises information and actions through cross-sector mapping and dynamic data filtration. Other features of the platform include an open-source tool to contribute public data to the site, a project management dashboard for diverse stakeholders to collaborate on solutions, a library of useful resources, storytelling through data journeys, and more. View the platform at www.regeneratehub.org.We are looking for dedicated individuals to volunteer to populate collected data onto the Regenerate Hub platform. You will work closely with Regenerate Hub team of 7 sector experts whom are collecting data and building partnerships across the following sectors: 1) basic human needs, 2) earth and agriculture, 3) sustainable industry, 4) waste management, 5) energy, 6) water and 7) diaspora & relief. Your volunteer role is to support the 7 sector experts to: • Input collected data onto the platform • Re-validate data & research various entities to fill in missing data within datasets • Attend 1 x a week zoom team meeting in evenings This project timeline is across 3 months from your start date, working remotely online, and flex-time according to your schedule. Applicants are welcome from all locations & time zones. This role is open to individuals seeking volunteer, internship and or mentorship. Each data input will be credited with your name on the platform. Academic credit towards civic engagement is available according to your academic institution.
Experience: We are seeking a committed team-player who is resourceful and passionate about creating alternative solutions for Lebanon’s immense challenges & enthusiastic to use technology and data to drive social and environmental change. We welcome independent, self-starters who can work well remotely, deadline oriented & within small grassroots teams. Other valuable skills include: • Background in research, data collection, data entry. • High proficiency in Excel and/or Airtable. • Computer savvy and able to teach yourself new tools and software quickly. • Fluency in Arabic, English and French.
